Press Release No 03 – Reserve Bank of Fiji Issues New Broker Dealer – Body Corporate Licence to Sun Capital Limited
The Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) is pleased to announce that it has issued a Broker/Dealer – Body Corporate licence to Sun Capital Limited, having satisfactorily met the licensing requirements stipulated under the Companies Act 2015. Sun Capital Limited is expected to formally commence operations in February 2026.
Sun Capital Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sun Insurance, an entity licensed by the Reserve Bank under the Insurance Act 1998. The establishment of Sun Capital Limited into the market is expected to strengthen broker/dealer services in Fiji by increasing competition and improving access to capital market products and investment services.
The RBF welcomes the establishment of Sun Capital limited in the Fijian market and noting that with this addition, the number of licensed Broker / Dealers – Body Corporate operating in Fiji has increased to four, an encouraging development that supports the growth and diversification of the domestic capital market sector.
