The Capital Markets Development Authority has the responsibility of providing an enabling environment for securities in the market place. Corporate Finance and Licensing division is responsible for matters related to facilitating the supply of securities and the effective licensing of market intermediaries.

The Goals of this division are as follows:

  • To develop Fiji’s stock market as the preferred alternative to raise funds (debt and equity);
  • To offer all market participants high quality industry-specific training to develop investing and financial skills;
  • To increase supply of good marketable debt and equity securities;
  • To regulate the offer of securities to the public and their subsequent trading on the SPSE;
  • To provide up-to-date capital markets statistics for industry/ general users; and
  • To approve, license and monitor market intermediaries and their activities
